Compass
Compass is our school management system that allows our parents and carers to access up to date and meaningful information about our school and your child’s progress.
Compass includes many different features, including the ability to:
- Monitor your child’s attendance, and enter an explanation for absence or lateness
- Communicate with your child’s teachers, and update your family contact details
- View the school calendar
- Download and view your child’s academic reports
- Book student conferences
- Pay and provide consent for events and school fees
The Compass Parent Portal can be accessed through a web browser or you may download the app from the App Store or Google Play store.
Parent Handbook
Out of Hours Care
Our school has partnered with an independent provider called TheirCare to provide exceptional Outside School Hours Care services for our school community.
TheirCare provides a stimulating and safe environment for all children. During sessions, children develop life-skills, friendships, confidence and creativity through play-based programs.
The program is available for all children at Gilgai Plains Primary School from 6:30am until 8:50am in the morning and from 3:10pm until 6:30pm each school day.
During School Holidays & Pupil Free Days the service will operate from 6:30am until 6:30pm.

Families are eligible for a Government Rebate called the Child Care Subsidy which can reduce the cost per session by up to 85%. More information can be obtained by contacting the school or ringing TheirCare Support Team on 1300 072 410.
Uniform
Gilgai plains Primary School believes that a student dress code will encourage a sense of individual and collective pride in students.
